Nail Art and the FA Cup

Since I don't have a manicure on right now (I'll be doing one tonight), I thought I'd share some nail art from May.

Arsenal nail art

To start off, I used SinfulColor's Basecoat. My thumb and middle finger were easy to do. I used SinfulColor's Ruby Ruby, a classic red jelly. I used a small brush from a set I bought at Walmart to do the cannon on my thumb, which is part of Arsenal's logo. The yellow ribbon was done with Sinful's Let's Meet. All simple, nothing complicated.

Next up: index and ring fingers. I applied two coats Wet n Wild's French White Creme on a small portion of my nails, followed by two coats of Ruby Ruby, leaving a small portion uncovered, which are the sleeves. Using the brush, I dabbed a little red halfway down the sleeves, then a little of Sinful's Midnight Blue at the end of the sleeves. The numbers were last.
(Sidenote: Mertesacker, 4, and Özil, 11, are my favourite players - they both played for Werder Bremen a few years ago.)

My pinky finger was also very easy. I used to coats of French White Creme. Then I cut two small strips of tape and placed them on the nail when it was dry. I have Midnight Blue on the tip, and Ruby Ruby is the small red strip.

I finished my hand with NYC Quick Dry Grand Central Station as my topcoat.

Chris and I went to Johnny's Tavern in KCMO to watch the game with the Kansas City Gooners. Arsenal went on to win at Wembley 3-2 in extra time. It was a wonderful day!
