Dallas Cowboys Nail Art

Hey guys! I have a new mani for you! I tried something new last night, and I wasn't too pleased with the way it turned out. I thought about changing it, but since it started peeling off, I had to. I blame this on my Nina Ultra Pro Super Dry Top Coat, and I will review it soon.

I'd been wanting to try Dallas Cowboys nail art for a while, since Chris is a massive fan. I decided to try it tonight and I am quite proud of the way it turned out. Here is how I did it.

I used three colors: NYC Quick Dry Tribeca Silver, Wet n Wild French White Creme, and Sinful Colors New Wave.

After applying my base coat, I painted my nails with my base colors.

As you can see, I didn't fully cover my index and ring fingers. I only painted down the middle because that was all I needed. You'll see what I mean soon.

After my base colors, I used my Nina Ultra Top Coat. Now, I know I said that it didn't work for me, but for nail art, it's amazing. It dries very fast, so I don't have to wait very long in between.

Once my middle finger was dry, I used my star punch on painter's tape and put it on carefully. Then I used New Wave for the star.

Then I took two strips and put one on my ring/index fingers.

I could see the white through the first coat of Tribeca Silver, so I added a second.

On my thumb, I used a white label and added Tribeca Silver to the tip.

Once my index/ring fingers were dry, I took my liquid eyeliner brush and painted a line with New Wave where the white and silver met.

This was the final result. My pinky finger got to stay solid.

I previously wrote about my negative experience with NYC Grand Central Station as a top coat, but after the issue with Nina Ultra Pro, I decided to give it a second chance tonight. It worked beautifully. Shiny, and easy to deal with. Maybe I was exaggerating last time.

Do you like to do nail art for sports teams? If so, do you do it randomly or specifically for game days? Let me know!
