Wet n Wild: Halloween 2014 Limited Edition Collection: Happy Hour Hop

Hi all! I have something new for you tonight. I know it's been a little while since I last posted, but this week was a little busy. I decided to start running again (for the millionth time), and I've been going to the gym and running on the treadmill, but I hate it. I hate nothing more than running on a treadmill. It's boring, it's repetitive, and it's draining. I think it's a mental thing. Anyway, the weather in Kansas is below freezing right now and I decided to run outside a few times. Let me tell you, it is hard, especially when it's windy and you're running headwind. I really couldn't have picked a better time to start (cue the sarcasm), especially twice a day.

On to nail polish. Tonight I went with Happy Hour Hop from this year's Wet n Wild Halloween collection, a shimmery royal purple with gold flakes. I used 3 coats in the picture below.

The formula for Happy Hour Hop was a somewhat runny. The first coat was a little sheer, and the second was opaque, but I felt that I needed a third. The Megalast brush is wide (as I've mentioned before), and is best for someone with a wider nail bed. I was slightly annoyed because a couple bristles were doing their own thing, so I had to cut them off. Dry time was a little slow.

Overall, I like Happy Hour Hop. Although the formula wasn't all to my liking, I do think the color is great. The gold flakes remind me a little of Masked Beauty. I know I'm a little late with this collection, but they've got a few great shades.

I'm still figuring out my camera. I've been reading a ton of articles on aperture, shutter speed, and how to take better pictures. I've been able to take some great shots of my girls, but I'm still having a little trouble with nail art. I'll continue trying.

Has it been cold where you are? Or is it warm, with never-ending heat?
