NYC Long Wearing Enamel: Purple Pizzazz Frost

Hi all! I know it's been a little while, nearly 2 weeks, since my last post! I am really sorry for that. I had previously been using Chris' camera, a Sony Cybershot, for the blog, but I was constantly frustrated with it. I felt that the colors were always off, and there was no automatic macro setting; as long as I zoomed in, I would have macro.

That really bothered me, so I chose to buy a Sony Alpha a500 Mirrorless camera. It's a compact system camera, so I can manually adjust many of the settings. I am still figuring it out, so I don't think my pictures will be the best at the moment, but I hope I can learn more about my camera and hopefully take a photography class!

Anyway, onto the main subject of this post. Tonight I have Purple Pizzazz Frost from New York Color. It is a purple color with blue microshimmer.

The formula for Purple Pizzazz Frost was average - not bad, not great. One coat was sheer, so I added a second for opacity. The brush was similar to the SinfulColors brush, although it was a bit soft for my liking. I didn't feel as though I had much control, which is why the gap between the polish line and my cuticle is a bit wider than I prefer. Dry time was a little slower than usual.

Overall, I'm a little mixed about this shade. I didn't enjoy working with the formula, but the color is decent, so I may decide to wear it again. I mean, at $0.94, you can't expect too much!

Again, I'm so sorry for being gone so long. I promise to never again go this long without posting!

What kind of camera do you use for your shots? Do you use a point and shoot, or have you gone the more expensive route, using a DSLR? Let me know!
