Hi all! Happy Sunday! We didn't watch football today, since the Cowboys were knocked out last week, so we had a mini 24 marathon. It's one of my favorite shows ever, and I was finally able to convince Chris to continue watching Day 3.
Today, I went with a jelly sandwich using SinfulColors Ruby Ruby and NYC Pink Bling. Here is the final result.
I started off with my Essie Grow Stronger Base Coat. I applied one coat of Ruby Ruby, a red jelly. I absolutely love it. It was the first jelly I ever bought (before I knew what jellies were). The one coat took a little long to dry, so I gave it a little bit of time before adding 2 coats of NYC Long Wearing Enamel Pink Bling, and one final coat of Ruby Ruby. I let it dry for some time before applying my Sally Hansen Insta Dri Top Coat.
Pink Bling is a clear base with silver and pink glitter. It didn't have a great glitter payoff, which is why I went with 2 coats instead of one thick one with lots of dabbing. Dry time was a little slow, but I kind of attribute that to Ruby Ruby's slow dry time.
Overall, I'm loving my jelly sandwich. I love the way the glitter looks between coats of a jelly polish, and jellies are just so wonderfully shiny.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready to start the workweek tomorrow!
