SinfulColors Endless Blue + NYC Tribeca Silver

Hi all! Sorry I've been away for a few days. I had a long week and didn't really have a chance to have some polish fun, but I am back! I have here what is supposed to be simple nail art, but it's not my best work.

I used Endless Blue and Tribeca Silver for this look. Here is the final result.

SinfulColors Endless Blue + NYC Tribeca Silver

I used 2 coats of Tribeca Silver, a silver metallic color, which was a little slow to dry, despite being part of NYC's Quick Dry line. It was followed by one coat of Endless Blue, a bright electric blue creme. It reminds me of Wet n Wild's Pleasure Pier, but without the shimmer. I had almost no issues with the formula, except that it was just a tad runny. Other than that, it went on smoothly. It self-leveled, though dry time was on the slower end of the scale.

I've seen quite a few examples of this type of nail art, and I really wanted to try it. As you can tell, Endless Blue doesn't really have a clean edge. Every stroke went a little further than I intended, but hopefully I'll get better with enough practice.

On a slightly different note, my nails are peeling like crazy. At first I thought it was because of my nail file, then I blamed it on not using enough lotion, but neither of those are really an issue. I have been moisturizing like crazy. It could either be the recent (below) freezing weather, OR my Nutra Nail Strengthener/Wet n Wild base coat combo that suddenly decided to stop working. The nails on my right hand are in far worse shape than the left. I removed nail polish, and not only were my nails peeling, but that top layer was jagged. It was actually a bit disheartening, because I've been trying so hard to care for them. I decided to invest in a new base coat, Essie's Grow Stronger. I really hope to get good results, because seeing my nails like that makes me very sad.

I hope you are all having a good weekend, and that your nails stay strong!
