New York Color Quick Dry: A Series - Precious Peacock

Hi all! I have here the next polish in my NYC quick Dry series, Precious Peacock. Sorry for not posting for a few days - one of my best friends was visiting from L.A. and Chris and I took him all around Kansas City.

Precious Peacock is a dark blue-green - almost looks emerald green - polish with a metallic finish.

5 coats (except index finger)

I really love this polish, but it was incredibly sheer! It was also a bit runny. I had to be extra careful when applying it, because the brush would take off some of the polish. I had to use 5 coats to reach any kind of opacity, and even then, it was still a bit sheer.

My index finger was the exception.

I used a black coat underneath, and this made a huge difference. I was able to reach the color on the bottle with just two coats of Precious Peacock.

The dry time was pretty short. Since it was so thin, each coat dried quick.

Do you like sheer polishes? What do you do when a polish is too sheer? Do you use a dark base color, or a color similar to the sheer polish? Let me know?
