FingerPaints Nail Art: Masked Beauty + Queen for a Night

Hi all! I have a new post for you, and I did some nail art! This time it's just regular (is there such a thing?) nail art, and not sports-related.

I'd been itching to try something with the FingerPaints Masquerade Affair collection. I hadn't had a chance to use it, but tonight was the night.

I already reviewed the Masquerade Affair collection, in two separate parts. Here is the post for these two colors, but I'll give you a quick recap.

Masked Beauty is a pale gold/champagne with golden flecks. The formula seemed a little better this time. I used 2 coats, and it has a gorgeous shine to it. It would've been fine by itself, but I really wanted to do a little more, so I used it with Queen for a Night.

Queen for a Night is a sapphire blue with greenish flecks. It is pretty opaque, and on its own, 2 coats will do. I love Queen for a Night, and the formula is very easy to work with.

I applied two coats of Masked Beauty on every night, followed by a coat of Nina Ultra Pro Super Dry Top Coat. I don't like to use it as a regular top coat, but it's great for nail art, as it dries very fast. I used white labels to make the triangles on my pinky and middle fingers, and one coat of Queen for a Night.

I'm pleased with the results. I'm also trying a new thing with my pictures. I was previously using a white background, but I realized that black looks much better. I also invested in a 60-watt daylight bulb, and I feel that it has made a big difference. I feel that the colors are more accurate and I don't have to worry about my pictures being too yellow. I really hope you can see a difference in the quality of my photos.

Have you struggled with pictures of your manicure? Do you have to make any changes to the temperature, exposure, etc? Does it ever feel like you have to make a choice between accurate polish color or skin color? Let me know!
