Nina Ultra Pro: Mariachi

Hi all! I have a new post for you. Considering that today is October 3rd, I had to honor this special day by wearing pink, even though it's not Wednesday.

I chose Nina Ultra Pro Mariachi, a folly-colored jelly. I've only used this polish once, when I did the post on my manicure routine a couple months ago. It is really bright, and I think it flatters my skin tone. Not gonna lie, I bought this because of the name. I'm Mexican and I love mariachi music! I used 2 coats in the picture.

I found Mariachi pretty easy to work with. It's a jelly, so it isn't entirely opaque, but it sure is shiny! There's a tiny bit of VNL, but only if you look closely. Dry time was a little slow - I managed to smudge my right thumb a while after application. The last Nina nail color I used was Plum of the Earth, and I wasn't too fond of the wide brush for this line. I didn't have that problem today, although there was a stray bristle on the brush, but I cut it off.

Overall, I like Mariachi. Everything about it was good, except the drying time. However, I am trying a new top coat tonight, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in the red bottle. I found it at TJ Maxx for $3, so if I like it, I'm definitely going back for more!
