Hi all! I have something new for you today! I decided that I will try new nail art quite regularly, especially with nail polish I don't use very often. Tonight, I decided to go with two unused colors, Caught with My Khakis Down from Sephora by OPI, and Pink Promenade Creme by New York Color.
I started off with Caught with My Khakis Down, which is apparently a khaki green creme. I swear, I thought it looked like gray. Seriously, I had it stashed with the other gray in my collection, NYC Sidewalkers. Chris also thought it was gray. I bought this when I went a little crazy in Kansas City.
Caught with My Khakis Down is a polish I actually enjoyed using. It's not thick, maybe a little on the watery side, but nothing unmanageable. The first coat was a little sheer, but I achieved full opacity with the second coat. I really liked the brush, which is long and a little wide, and delivered just the right amount of polish. Dry time was a little faster than average.
I used painters tape for my nail art. I didn't really want to do every nail, so I added a couple pieces on my index and ring fingers. I applied the painters tape with tweezers, added NYC Pink Promenade Creme, and removed the tape promptly.
Here is the final result.
Fairly simple, right?
Have you ever been surprised by a nail polish that looked like one color, but was actually a different color? Let me know!
